My first anime was an Americanized version on the 'cartoon' channel. It was a while ago. I could have been Pokemon or Digimon, or Cardcaptor Sakura or Hamtaro! But what really started me off was wanting to watch Cardcaptor Sakura again. I watched a subbed version and learnt a lot that wasn't in the dubbed version. I was hooked. I watched all sorts ......
