Chinese characters are difficult as fuck
I speak Filipino and English. I could read Hangul but can't understand shit lol. I could also read and understand basic Japanese. Our school had a Chinese subject back when I was grade school. I loved copying the Chinese characters, but now I barely remember anything. Chinese characters are very difficult to remember.

Hahaha.. started learning chinese... and for me, the tones are so great.. i sometimes know the chinese character pronounciation just by looking at an unknown character .. its like.. uy mukhang "shi" ito.. coz i use my japanese kanji reading instinct in reading it .. tas yun pla "xi" nga siya.. ibang spelling lang.. haha
That's awesome! My dislike in Chinese characters is the thing that's stopping me from completely learning Japanese. HAHA teach me senpai
Haha.. im a japan addict since kinder.. so nasanay na ako sa japanese but not fluent.. then i discovered mandarin.. its so easy to understand coz the sentence structure is same as english.. i relate japanese with filipino naman.. haha.. if you have difficulty with chinese characters.. try reading it by its radicals.. i have a book on that eh.. a pdf.. forgot the title tho
Sige I'll try that, thanks sa tip!
I lived in China for 4 and a half years so I completely understand. I forgot pretty much everything I knew besides counting and can say a few very, very basic things, but overall I practically learned nothing. Not to mention because there are tones, if you say a tone wrong it can become a completely different word.
Yeah! The tones! They're so difficult to do, whenever my Chinese teacher demonstrated, I just get confused lol
