As long as its not offensive and spreading misinformation, I don't see the issue? I am straight but in my opinion thats like stating Stan Lee should've not written black panther due to being a white person. I mean i personally don't even consider yaoi and yuri as pornography? I want to read for the romance and story aspect, I'm personally sick of f......   2 reply

These replies are bullshit. All of this is bullshit. Some of y'all are really fucking delusional enough to think that straight cis people can and/or should write lgbt content when we've spent the last 30 or so years seeing the absolute disaster that's come of them doing just that. Y'all don't get to write fucking fetish work of us and stereotype ......   reply

I understand where you're coming from but I disagree with the sentiment. Before anything else tho, as a member of the LGBTQIA+, I understand the fear and effects of becoming an object used by the heterosexual community just to satisfy whater fetish they might have that we did not consent to. Until now the community is still trying to reclaim lesbia......   2 reply

1. You can't culturally appropriate porn. Especially porn allegedly depicting a sexuality - there's no such thing as "gay culture" in reality, even though we joke about it. Not even an "authentic homosexual experience", not one that's the same for all of us. How you experience your orientation is wildly different depending on your actual culture - ......   reply

As long as they don't fetishize it I think it's fine. I keep seeing girls who say “Gay sex is so hot. If I was a man I would be gay” it's disturbing asf. Shounen Ai and Shoujo Ai are fine but I think if people are from opposite gender they shouldn't read yaoi or yuri. I hope it makes sense, English is not my first language I'm trying my bes......   1 reply

tbh you can tell if a straight person is writing homosexual smut and stuff, bc mostly when they do it’s inaccurate lol it’s like if an american person is writing a korean drama novel period kinda thing. but anyways i think it’s fine for them to write it but it’s not fine for them to push their “fake ideals” on real gay ppl   3 reply

I think as long as they stay respectful, kind, polite, and realistically portray gay relationships it's fine. Just no fetishizing real LGBTQ people or thinking it's ok to harass two people of the same sex to kiss, etc just because two people of the same sex is hot to you.   reply

Anyone can write anything. A heterosexual person can simply create something depicting lgbt individuals and it would be perfectly fine in my opinion. It just gets weird when it becomes a fetish. I don’t know what you mean by cultural appropriation though, sexuality isn’t a culture to appropriate. As for the fetishization part, simply writing a ......   1 reply
