Why do you think piracy exists?
I know it's a stupid question, but I'm more curious about why people buy stuff and share it for free. I was thinking about downloading Office Crack. I always hate downloading them because you don't know if it's 100% safe or if there is spyware or any malware running in the background to farm your PC information while you are not noticing, because let's face it, nothing is free. But on the other hand, people can't attach malware to a movie or a book, but they still share it. If they share it purely because they want to help, why do we villainize them? Other than that, I'm an asshole kind of pirate; when a mobile game is so damn annoying to finish, I will search for the cracked ones to reach the ending fast rather than keep putting squares in places, that so boring and sound like a chore, especially if there is a hearts system, I have to come back tomorrow to finish those damn squares, then get two block texts of the story, then come back to those damn squares again. It'll take me a year to finish that game, but still I can reach the end for free, but I'm choosing not to because the gameplay is so damn boring, I don't want to play reskinned Candy Crush with a story .
there's a lot of nuance to it. people who distribute pirated content can turn a profit from ads or whatnot, or it could be because they believe all forms of media should be unrestricted. a lot of different reasons
