BL Plot isn’t compelling/Need readers suggestions
In the past, I’ve written many stories for sites like Wattpad, but as an art student I want to take my stories to the next level. Because this is more work than a traditional novel, I don’t want to make any mistakes on the plot. Currently, I’m aiming for character development. Some plot lines I’ve written involve Fantasy, crime and mystery, but all centered on a romantic relationship.
Could you share what are some of the greatest aspects of your favorite BLs so far.
I mean, characters or plot development, the art style or the way the story was formatted, the roles of the relationship, how much the engaged in sensual acts, favorite scenes, what annoys you, what you wish you saw more.
Literally anything works!

I’m looking for proofreaders or general readers who I would review the chapters ahead of time and give me feedback as I go along.
Thank you for any replies!
Well, I'm not proficient with writing at all so Imma just say what I think is important.

- Propelling factor. Nobody would try to overcome their short-comings if there's no need or a push. Usually it comes in form of a good rival or villain, traumatic past that makes you wanna uphold justice, power of friendship/love bla bla. I personally like "selfish goals". Like, "Imma become immortal", "Be rich and buy myself a super car." etc. It seems more natural and realistic to me. In the end, who would construct his only life according to the others' life right? So, find a good goal and characters will evolve to reach that.
- About romance. Since it's homosexual relationship, starting all fluffy puffy... Meh, wouldn't be that attractive I guess. Homos are outcast. Expressing their love without the care of the world may be hard for them. It's not like we're burning them at the stakes tho, so simple things like "not holding hands in public" or "no hugs unless you're soooo happy" would be enough to convey the idea. No need unnecessary drama here, I can't imagine them crying on the floor like "buhuu no one wants us". Although it can also be included in "character development" part and they can slowly overcome it while also progressing in other areas.
- Murder and all. I think it would be cool if those dudes solved cases as a team. I dunno if they're on the same side tho, is it enemies to lovers? Would be epic. Heheheh. HEHEHEH. My imagination runs wild damn. Imagine murderer convince the detective that this is way more fun and live as their heart desires.... No you're supposed to write about solving crimes not commiting erm.
- Sensual acts. It's so frustrating when they cut it right at the middle. If you were gonna do that just don't write from the start damn. So, my advice, just mention that they had smex or go to the end. 2nd preferred. I guess I'm a pervert.
