anyone else crochet here???

okay ive been crocheting for like 2 years now and i stopped cus of personal issues. Now im getting back to it and why am i failing like as if i dont know to crochet suddenly i used to make my friends chibi ver of themselves,veggies and even clothes. I tried crocheting a vest today (which i can normally do) but its so messy... any fix for this? I know how to do it but my hands just fails :((
