just use tor and/or duckduckgo plus a good vpn. that way your online activity is encrypted, you won't have a search history, and your ip address is hidden so that you're completely anonymous. then research away. but honestly i don't think watchdogs would give a fuck, it's not like you're looking up how to assassinate the president
