Dear filipinos, im an immigrant in your country so tell me why

I have a Filipino friend that says the n-word a lot but he doesn't mean it like a racist would. He isn't racist at all, it's just that he uses it in the same manner one would use "shit" or "fuck" just cos it's a typical american swear and he wants to "sound" american. Tho my other friends and i have told him to stop but he finds it hard cos it beca......   1 reply

They're colorists to their fellow Filipinos who are noticeably darker and having white skin as a beauty standard, it's no surprise that they like saying the n-word. Oh, and they're obviously racist too by saying that.   reply

ph is a white washed country, u can see lots using whitening products just for them to be white.. but also.. many of us roots are from native indigent culture which are colored black too... so they were called N too, or sometimes aeta or igorot.. also Filipinos are harsh in joke.... so most are not aware and not a way to insult.. since no one are c......   reply

It's frustrating but it's everywhere. Some people are ignorant on purpose, like they have the knowledge and are well connected with the ways of the world but still use it because they want to be edgy and dark.
