How and where do I get evaluated for Autism as a young adult?
Two of my therapists have recommended that I get evaluated for autism but I don't know what that process looks like or how to start other than researching symptoms. I've tried getting answers from my autistic friends but they all got tested when they were young. If there's anyone here got a diagnosis as an adult, or hell even a late teen, how was the process like and where do you get tested?
I just wanna say before you decide on getting diagnosed, once you do, people will treat you differently, and it might even affect your work life. Just a quick heads up. This goes for any diagnosed mental illness or disorders btw. 1 reply
