Yall ever wonder why there were so many serial killers in the 70's-00's?? As well as cults? (mostly in America though). Ive just been binging documenteries lately and took notice of the trend and I'm curious asf.
Is it possible that there weren't actually more serial killings but most to of killers from those decade got famous? Because maybe the way of the killing was something unfamiliar to the general american public that time? And technological advancements weren't upto the par yet plus increased urbanization might have played the role, and this one migh...... reply
no internet, people tended to act more familiar with strangers, so many people hitchhiked, the hippie movement made travelling in groups popular, and people were generally less guarded too ig? so many more reasons too but the biggest is probably lack of tech and awareness reply
