I'm so sick of this

Does anyone else not know GK just because you never really cared about it ( general knowledge like about the first president or other things) I'm sick and tired of this constant comparison and belittling by my parent . It's not like some one has ever asked me GK questions so i can forget right.
Comparison and belittling makes it worse and i don't want to learn anymore

i learnt gk from movies n talking w my friends n a few google searches... u should at least know a few things and not be completely ignorant on whats around u.... reply

Depends what the general knowledge you are talking about. At some point, a lack of general knowledge is a lack of knowledge. For instance, it is general knowledge that ice is less dense than water. If you don't know that are you are older than the age of twenty... that's not really a matter of whether or not you are interested, that's a matter of...... reply

i used to read encyclopaedias as a hobby when i was a kid so i never had this problem, but you could like read children's gk books. there are small gk booklets available for children, if you didn't read them when you were a kid you can read them now and be up to date on your gk knowledge. reading the news everyday would also probably help reply
