1. to maintain patriarchy and retain women's subordinate position by forcing them to birth a labor force and maintain it, patriarchy doesn't care about the child or the mother, it only cares about women's subordination.
2. men will scream pro-life but ditch the woman and kid and not even pay child support, making the woman's life miserable, they are only pro life until it's about them.
