Depends I use my dead name at work and tell them I go by Kai with ppl I'm close too I'm not passing(most times because I'm a femboy but also cuz I can't afford it) so it would be stupid to openly say I'm trans in a room full of strangers and get hate crimed, but in safe spaces I open with Kai or when I order food and I say he/they reply
