anyone else ticked off about how ai is being shoved down our throats on every fucking website or thing ever? ig its more relevant to me personally cuz im pursuing a career in animation/art
i get it, it can be used as a tool to enhance efficiency and stuff but all i've seen so far is slop.
on pinterest I can't search a general term like "female witch character" without being bombarded with ugly gooner ai, when I search "lofi" on youtube the top searches are AI generated lofi with AI thumbnails,
tiktok has countless ai trends (mostly harmless, but still), AI games, AI ads, stupid ass AI google result, ai porn (I dont even wanna get into the whole thing of AI being used in the porn industry), AI animes/movies
it's especially saddening when a well respected/popular artist gets exposed for using ai for their work to pump out more content. like ru fr? i will always respect a beginner artist who tries than an AI user too lazy to make their own shit.
as someone who writes it's also become annoying for me. not only is it happening on pinterest and other websites but also fanfiction archives. authors will literally post fanfictions and forget to edit out the prompt, like are you that lazy to the point where you don't even proof-read it? we always say, "if you won't bother writing it, why should i......

SO TRUE. It's so annoying how I can't look up anything without being shafted with AI results. I just want a picture of a REAL bird. I don't need 3000 AI-generated versions of a bird.

honestly I am fucking scared, ai is actually getting harder and harder to detect especially when the picture (i refuse to call it art) isn't in the "standard ai" artstyle yk (even that is copied from an actual artist). A time will come when "generative ai" will be perfected, and we won't ever know the difference between it and an actual art piece. ......

SO REAL, I'm trying to goon peacefully and ethically and there's that motherfucking AI that ruins everything with their hyper unrealistic builds theyre purely disgusting. yup... it's harder to search for real reference photos, gemini keeps giving me incorrect information, and the general search experience has worsened. i wish there were a good image search engine that filtered it out as much as possible.
