Gender Bender. No joke, I fucking HATE gender bender.
This might be a hot take but more than 90% of the time, if the gender bender element was removed and the main character was the gender they were disguising as, almost absolutely NOTHING about the story would change. There are exceptions, but most of the time it feels like a lazy cop-out to me.
