What radicalized you?
I've seen this question a lot and I'm sure that on this website there are plenty of open minded and empathetic people, personal experience has just lead me to assume that. Anyway, for me, growing up as a person of color, overweight, and conventionally unattractive, I had experienced more ridicule than any child should ever have to endure. Never approached, always excluded, that was life for me. Constantly being overlooked and unappreciated by others because of the way you were born is such an absurdity that I've never been able to comprehend. I abhor the idea of people being evaluated on their appearance alone rather then their contribution to their community, ideals, ambition, or even personality. Experiencing discrimination at a young age created such a solidified foundation of empathy for me. A good heart is all it takes to be a great person.

I grew up a bit sheltered in the province and i never had to take public commute. When I went to university, I had to commute (rarely even because i board in a dormitory) but I was able to experience sexual harrassment on every public transportation possible. The most often one is a bus, so I always took an Uber.
