Is 18 and 23 weird?

The high school part is what makes it weird to me. 18 and 23 is fine to me as long as the older didn’t know them before 18. But in this case, the 18yo is still in high school and THAT seems sus. But idk   reply

That depends on the guy, if he’s one of those who makes her to be his ideal woman then that’s a red flag. Or he’s controlling. Usually these type of relationships are delicate. Just be a bit weary.   reply

Well I would like to answer this as a 23 year old. When I think of myself with a person who is 18 it feels wrong because the me at 18 and the me at 23 are so different. Up until 25 your brain keeps developing and for me those 5 years really changed me a lot and I feel like I was such a kid. So I would never date an 18 year old. Your friend is at a......   reply

as somebody in college i feel such a disconnect from people who are 18 just the idea makes me guilty. Thats over 4 years apart during the years of your life where people could become a completely different person in A MONTH. if your friend was 23 and dating someone 6 years older itd be less weird. It is weird. But it's not anyone's place to criticize them. It's their relationship anyway. Your friend should just imagine the other way around like how it wud be if they dated a 14-15 year old. If the younger person is of legal age, it's not bad. But my personal rule has always been that the younger person should be at least old enough to enter a club or bar. Hey where is your partner? Can't come because they are too young. Doesn't sound good, does it?   reply

Age 20+ people dating anyone 19 and under is weird and vise versa. I consider your friend a teenager hence she still have the word teen from eighTEEN , but she's old enough to make a couple legal choices for herself   1 reply

well it certainly sounds icky, but since they're both of consenting age (I assume you live somewhere the age is 18) you're gonna have to let your friend live her life and make her mistakes. if you see things about him that make you think he's a bad guy or she's in danger with him, that's when you step in.   3 reply
