does anyone find it kind of silly?
idk I just find it stupid, so what you loved me in a past life, what does that have to do with me now?
you liked the person from before, how does that have anything to do with me in this life?
it's so popular but whenever I see it, I just go, they loved several people across the span of several different lifetimes, at most you could say they liked someone of the same personality.
in reality, they already have some sort of opinion of who you are and what you are like, and to me, that's stifling.
they should like you for you, not for what they assume is you.
I understand why people like it, cause it's like 500 year old edge fest, but do they really like you... like YOU?
I don't mind the ones where they both don't know, but one where they do, it feels weird.

Actually I eat this trope up so much I could throw up a rainbow but I'm also one of its biggest criticizers. I hate it when the other person specifically just starts to 'love' and follow the reincarnation of their past loved one for no other plausible reason other than they were past lovers. I ESPECIALLY hate this when the reincarnation is boring a......
