Guys help me out with this. I'll take as many answers as you guys can. We've got a sudden out of nowhere essay on 'Psychoanalysis and literature'. So like what is it? I tried reading about psychoanalysis but I'm still confused about it. How do you exactly psychoanalyse literature?

basically it's a way of analyzing literature through the lens of psychological theories, such as Jung's Archetype or good old Freud's Dream Analysis. i'd avoid Freud and pick Jung's Archtypes theory instead.
