They do lmao, like the author can clearly IMPROVE their shitty ML or plot. It's called 'criticism' people keep reading to see if it gets better but cause won't. They will say their take on it. I hate the BL story Jinx alot but i try to see if the author improved on some aspects and read it then i will say my take on it. Just like how irl, we can be NOT racist/homophobic and can IMPROVE but people choose not to.

If people never voice their opinions, things will never change. If people just start complying with the fact that the story is shitty and don’t say anything about it, this stuff will continue to be produced. If there was zero backlash to rape stories, the only stories produced today would most likely be rape stories. People need to continue voicing their opinions no matter how annoying it is for you. And btw, them voicing how they feel about a character or a story doesnt even effect you at all, you’re the one choosing to get annoyed and people who hate the rape and toxicity, which is really weird ngl.

most stories especially in BL already include rape and toxicity, they are getting pumped out why? maybe because people like them? why would an author choose to continue these if they are ONLY hated. there is SUPPORT from the community, and that community is one you are not in. stop pushing yourselves into communities that you aren't welcome in. I don't really see the "changes" you're getting at because stories that are criticized end similarly to how they started, you're not changing anything, the authors chose not to. And if there was change, it's because it was already predetermined from the start
