If you watch BL dramas, do you pay attention to the kisses?

So, I finally commented under a drama about how the kisses felt like dead fish, with no passion, no real, heart-touching intimacy. And, of course, the floodgates opened. Typicals, "Oh, so you just wanna watch papapapa for real? Let me send you links," (mocking, obviously). Then there were these too, "If you watch BL just for the kisses, why not complain about other dramas too?"

I watch many genres, but in Romance I just watch worthy BLs. Now,
Look, to me plot matters. Chemistry matters. If both are weak, I drop it. But if I’m still watching because of the actors, then, yeah, kissing plays a role. And if even that is half-hearted, then what am I still here for?

Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t mind them going all out (uhuhu), but it’s not just about that. The build-up, the emotions, the connection; it all matters. I don’t need steamy scenes in every BL, but at least make me feel something. The longing, the tension, the love. If not intimacy, then at least the fire between them.

But apparently, that makes me "thirsty."
