I don't think it should be more or less popular, wish it was as popular as BL but i can't force people to like what they don't. But i think it's very telling that GL is wayyy less popular. It's about your surroundings, if you are in a site like mggo which is first and foremost a BL site with BL being the main genre (at least it used to be like that). Then ofc you'll think that BL is more popular. Now go to any hentai site, check how many GL are there compared to BL?   reply

There IS a reason why yaoi is more popular and one of them is definitely misogyny. Have you seen the infighting in both sides? (A great example of this is Alien Stage.
