how do you guys deal with that empty and weird feeling after finishing something you've read/watchd?
there is this strange emptiness that i feel when i finally finish a long book, tv series or video game. at first it's like, "okay, that was great" and then I'll be like, "sooo... what am I gonna do with the rest of my life?"
make art about it, write fics about it, make it my entire personality for a whole of three weeks, join online forums to talk about it, join clubs with people for it. rinse, recylce, repeat, until I find something else to hyperfixate on. reply
I accepted that feeling as a sense of loss now that this thing I was enjoying is done/over. That sense of emptyness feels to me like a sudden loss of excitement, happiness, or enjoyment. A month ago I just finished doing a diy Vanny head mascot, I was satisfied but then I feel bored nowadays because I have nothing else to do, it makes me want to create something else, like making a prop for a cosplay I'd never wear or use, the urge tho ughhhhhhh reply
