Nooooo just show ppl pics of BL characters (not the smut of course) and see how they react and if they know the character. Just say something like "hey isn’t this character so cute" and show the pic. This is actually how I found out my bsf reads yaoi bc her phone wallpaper is a BL couple :)   reply

Personally I just read beside them. People are natural peepers they'd glance and look eventually so when they do catch them in the act and ask if they've read it and go from there   2 reply

I think maybe be like "do you read manga?" and sloooooowly draw it out of them. I also think the Jinx thing is actually a decent question if they do read bl, that's a pretty good gauge to see if they're annoying.   reply

Only works if they like anime but... Have you watched any sports anime ? Which ones ? And then I'd be able to tell lol. Btw my answer to that would be : Yuri on ice; Free; Sk8; Salaryman's club; Number 24; Free; Haikyuu; Kuruko's basket ; Blue Lock. They're all really romantic, the bromance is soooo strong.
