my take is that liking BL ≠ attracted to male characters ≠ attracted to men irl characters in fiction represent more than their literal depictions and cannot be considered 1:1 equivalents to real life. the concept of a male character is not equivalent to the concept of a man in real life & male characters can actually be devices to explore con...... reply

I'm just curious, so I'll respond to your question and see what you say. If you like BL for the romance aspects just in general that you could get from any type of relationship I would say it doesn't have to mean you like men.
