Never had any outstanding memorable experience w homophobia, but icl when I say it gets immensely uncomfortable when you mention being lgbtq around an average joe and they suddenly turn to you like you've just admitted to axe murdering a lower-class family of five and hid their bodies behind your house or smth   1 reply

Gay man here, dad was homophobic, got beaten for it, scolded and ignored after. It was pretty bad. That was almost a decade ago though, and he's dead and I'm still gay. Now for my actual answer, since going to college, I've been commuting more than I've ever had. Without revealing my location and college, I basically take two different train syste......   3 reply

I also have a constant fear that when I'll get old I'll have no family while all my friends wi......   reply

I cant compare my experience to those who have been hatecrimed, but it doesnt feel very good. Where I live, people are generally very respectful. Although they are still homophobic, but they just pretend they like me. I know everyone thinks I'm mentally ill. They'll act nice in Front of me and talk behind my back. From a very young age, I knew I wa......   reply

I'm living in a quite liberal country (though the far right are slowly taking over yikes) and I personally wasn't faced with a lot of homophobia. A little belittling maybe, like my family always assuming my romantic interests are men even though they know I'm bi. But with a lot of my friends being trans, I notice a lot of transphobia, like from the......   1 reply
