I would say the biggest difference is the opportunities a top school can give you. They might have better programs, more funding, and more chances to rub hands with important ppl who can jumpstart your professional life. BUT that doesn't mean a regular college is bad. Yes, in debt. You're obviously gonna need more loans to pay for the expensive uni tuition. But no, in career. Because jobs don't give you more money simply because you went to a top uni. They give you money for your experiences and skills you built. So all in all, you just went into debt at an expensive uni just to come out getting paid the sam......   reply

its a matter of connections and the type of programs top uni's offer. im not sure how it is internationally but for america, people often go to nyu and pay the insane tuition price just to make all those connections. in the end of the day, connections can often bring you farther then the degree itself, and thats why a lot of people go for top uni's......   reply

i dont think so unless the jobs you apply for care at what college you went to and thats sometimes the case with certain career paths. I went a pretty standard university while my friend went to the "havard of our country" - thats what she likes to call it. she would constantly call me about how much of a hard time she was having because the course......   reply

according to my smart friend, yes if it's to major in business/econ, no if it's in stem. big state schools often have enough opportunities to build a resume. and if you're more artsy, i've heard that animation or theater programs differ a lot so it's very case-by-case which schools are good for goals like that.   reply

Yes but that depends. Where I live it doesn’t matter for primary school but really does for highschool. There’s a clear difference between private and public. For Cegep (or college sorry I’m Canadian) it doesn’t make that much of a difference public or private what changes is if it’s a good competitive one. Where I live there’s this one......   reply
