When I was in high school, the SATs were scored out of 2400. I took the test multiple times aiming for a higher score. I don't remember the exact score or breakdown but my highest score was somewhere around 1950. That's like a "B" equivalent in college. ACTs were easier imo. Got a 32 first try and was happy with it so I didn't take it again.
