Please help me decide on my life
I'm kinda desperate cuz i feel like noone is honest with me irl so maybe at least random people from this site can be honest
I'm currently a sophomore at university, my faculty is engineering but also with some medical staff?? idk its complicated
Well, I'm thinking hard about changing it. I've always dreamt about studying medicine, becoming a doctor, etc, etc. But, I'm pretty socially awkward, especially after breaking up with my long-term boyfriend (pretty traumatic experience, would not recommend)
So, what do you think I should do? I'm scared I won't be able to manage studying medicine, especially those social parts. And if i don't manage, i'll just waste 2 years where i am rn and then some time in med school, and what will i do???
My friends say i'll manage and that i could do a great doctor but I'm not sure if i can trust them sooo
if you're feeling anxious abt socializing and public speaking etc etc you won't be able to escape that in any other major either. if your academic passion is medicine i'd suggest sticking with it and then maybe go into r&d instead of being a clinician? i think ultimately your best bet for dealing with social awkwardness (from the limited info in th......

I had pretty bad social anxiety and difficulty talking to strangers. My job requires frequent interactions with people and it helped me to communicate better in general now. Sometimes you gotta just jump in and swim.

the more you interact with people in medical or related settings, the less awkward you'd be, so if it's your dream and you're willing to take steps to do it, go for it bbg, live your dreams
