the yandere trope, one of the only tropes that I haven't grown out of yet, i sort of find it really satisfying to read/watch these types of characters in media. I still shamelessly read those trashy toxic stalker romance mangas. BUT I would run so bad if I encounter some mf like that irl, can't stand any person trying to spy on me or restraining me......   reply

Characters that are depressed and emo I really like in fiction but irl I think we'd have a pretty toxic relationship since I cope using toxic positivity/fake it till you make it which doesn't work when I am close with people or things that are outwardly depressed/depressing. It'd probably encourage me to spiral which helps no one.   reply

If it isnt portrayed realistically then stalker/yandere type characters. I see a lot of people being fans of that trope, and I assume they find the idea of someone being obsessively in love with another 'endearing' in a way rather than the illegal and intrusive acts these characters commit. enemies to lovers. it only works for like the third party lmao, going through an actual enemies to lovers would be so conflicting and confusing. You'd be like "omg this person is like the bane of my existence, but why they kinda..??" LIKE THAT MAKES NO SENSE AND IS CONFUSING.
