I've been going through that and I'm still going through it. Don't worry, most people actually don't know what they want to do in life when they're still in high school. Here's my advice on this.

Try to figure out if you want to start working soon or keep going to school. (In both option, you will loose a bit of free time to read mangas, but that's life and you'll still have time to read)

If you're going for work : consider if you want a special formation or not. Special formations will open some doors for you and make it easier to find a decently paid job. You can find some without formations, but you might start at the bottom of the ladder with the minimum pay rate.
If you consider professional formations, you can do a research and see what kind of job you would like.

If you're going for school : consider what field of study you like the most. The three or four main branches you can get would be

1.Sciences+maths (physics, nutrition, biology, etc. choose only if you like it.)
2. Social sciences (psychology, criminology, sociology, etc. This is a field a lot of people choose when they don't know what to do and don't like science)
3. Technology. ( programming, IT stuff, computer stuff.)
4. Others. (Arts, Languages... ugh... yeah idk)

I personally chose the science branch cause I liked it. I had the option to got through general sciences + maths classes at college level and then choose a particular field in that branch.

I'm pretty much currently at that stage. I chose my field of study. Got a bechelor degree. I'm currently doing my Master's and I'm planning to just decide what to do when I'm done with it in two years.
Basically, I'm just winging it as I get there.

This is how I considered my options when I was going to leave highschool. I hope it can help you choose what you would like to do for now. And I also got one last advice for you :

You are allowed to make mistakes.

You don't like your field of study/job ? Then change field/job. Sometimes, you might go into a field like psychology and then decide that you would prefer being a lawyer. It's totally fine. Change fields before you waste too much time doing it. (unless you're like one semester away from a diploma. Then it's worth pushing through, but most people change fields during the very first year of their degree. Fortunately, you can get credits for the classes you've already completed so it's not too much wasted time)

So yeah. You see what I mean and I'm gonna stop there before writing a whole book about it. XD
Good luck.

Hi, I apologize for my english in advance, hope this will be lil helpful. It's been two years since I graduated and I'm still confused and scared about what comes next. I think is ABSOLUTELY NORMAL to feel this way and I can understand and relate to every word you said.
I took a year off after graduating to think more about what I wanted to do, because I wanted to be sure to choose the right path and therefore have no regrets.. I was sacred to waist time and opportunities. After a year I applied college and at the beginning it was fine, I really thought '' ah yes now all my doubts, insecurities and fears all disappeared''. Truth is, after few months they all came back. In a blink of an eye I found nothing had really changed.
I was still worried I didn't make the right choice, that I was ruining my life that I HAD NO FUTURE. ( ̄∇ ̄")
The point is, from my point of view, LIFE itself never stops challenging us, so what we think it might be the best now and could be the worst in a couple years and vice versa. I know it's a bit difficult concept. You basically can't know what it's really the best, you can only try what you like, without being afraid of loosing time, I know it seems there isn't much but I guess it's just a sensation. I feel that way too...and I'm still SCARED and in your situation but i'm trying to think this way and just go for what life will bring me next, and if I won't like it i will change something else.
My advice is just go for what you like even if you think is useless or that you will be never
be able to make a living out of it, you need to try it first, you're always in time to work somewhere else i promise you. In my opinion the real regret is not have tried what you really liked ( what I did , but now i'm going to change it still not convinced AT ALL that IT IS THE RIGHT CHOICE ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ but it is what i like at the moment)
i'm sorry for the long message, hope it's not boring and that helped a bit.
BEST OF LUCK enjoy life because you have just one(๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I'm probably no the best cut out for giving advice (i have two years left before i graduate) but here's my take.
Don't make it a bigger deal than it already is, find a hobby or something you like -those things help in choosing a career path, from what i've heard- even if you don't know what to do with your life after you graduate, take a year or two to really think things through, you don't have to go right in to university after you go out of high-school. And last but no least, don't try to fullfill OTHER peoples expectation about YOU if you only do things based on what other people will think of you, you really won't live and your life won't be as good as you want it to, listen to yourself only and don't try to live your life by other people's standarts.

Idk if this helps in anyway but just lIvE The MomENt, this all sound really cheesy, i'm sorry i'm not a good advicer but i hope you can sort it out. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
