I believe it's because most people see queer relationships as only sexual. Since people tend to push the idea that mlm or wlw is pure desire and not a sexuality. 2 reply
Research explaination: I think kinda back then with media queer ppl were mostly portrayed as just smth sexual, atually yk those whole flag things? i forgot where i read and found this info from but for abit the flags were also for kinks.
