It could be the situation that caused it and the proximity of the incident until now.
If someone really offended you when they broke up then it might feel like it lasts longer than someone who slowly just broke up due to time.
Because for your ex, it lasted over three years and I'm assuming that when you guys broke up, it wasn't like terribly hor......
