People always forget that you aren't supposed to be designing characters like they are made up of psychedelic colours. The point of a character is to advance the story's purpose. If the only good character designs are in fantasy because they can look like they're on drugs, then you're just delusional as to the function of a character.

one of my favourite is definitely dr. Tenma, and it's because THE NOSE, high dorsum with the slightest hump, truly a beautiful specimen. I'm sick of seeing a fucking line in place of the nose in anime character design, pls I need some diversity, the snubby nose, the hawked nose, the grecian, big nostrils I can go on forever my love for noses transc...... reply
