Why are all shojos historical stories with a """"dark skinned"""" ml always titled some weird shit like "Taming the beast" why are dark skinned men portrayed as animalistic and aggressive? If you're not ready to let go of your biases against people with dark skin DON'T WRITE ABOUT US. It always so fetishy and it's so obvious authors want that middle east or north African aesthetic without actually wanting to portray the cultures, orientalism is still so widespread. Between this and the disposable black girlfriend trope idk what pisses me off more
