Transgender Omegaverse

I had this late night thought when I was about to sleep. Does trans omegaverse exist? So far, we know that there are 4 types of secondary genders Alpha, Beta, Omega and Enigma (does Enigma count?). Since its a secondary gender does this mean that there are surgeries in the ABO world to change your gender?

Like for example Hyesung from Love is an illusion. I haven't read that since 2020 but I do remember him wanting to be an alpha. So does that count him being in the trans umbrella?

This is just a silly thought anyway I'm going to sleep now

Idk if it's a real thing in the greater omegaverse lore (bcuz idc enough about omegaverse to look it up), but my omegaversesona transitioned from an omega to a beta so in my head it's real. reply

Don't remember the names but there's a few novels out there where the omega cuts their gland out so that they'll be perceived as betas. But there's no gender dysphoria. It's more like they don't want to be restricted by the rules placed on omegas. So closer to those shoujo genderbenders than an actual transgender storyline. Oh there's also those a...... reply

the tea is that it depends on what version of omegaverse a given author subscribes too. I’ve read fics where it’s possible newly presenting alphas can be “bitched” (fucked) and then turn into omegas and vice versa, and others where characters just take hormones that change their physiology. I imagine that transitioning from whatever second gender to beta would be a lot easier than from alpha to omega or whatnot. Maybe it would take transitioning to a beta first and then taking hormones to match your desired gender, like a 2 step process. But I fell like it's not really integrated into omegaverse bc of the discrimination towards omega...... 1 reply
