I don't, cause I'm an atheist :') So yay for not being "afraid" some "holy guy" is going to punish me for not caring about him and praying and such. If you have to scare yourself with: God could make that horrible thing happen, is it something you even want ? I dont know if this will help but I prefer seeing "believing in God" as Spirituality and not as Religion. I'm a catholic but I dont view God based on what is preached in christian alone. I view God as a "loving-higher-being" that goes beyond what is written in any form of Religion. I like buddhism for their way of life. I like hinduism for their go......   2 reply

I personally think religion isn't necessarily the only trick to do so. It could be a person that matters most, or a thing you hold dear. While I don't believe in gods and religions, God in spirit, is the bigger source of comfort for most when they are distressed but seeing as you are having doubts, you don't have to believe on the idea of religion......   1 reply

Its just that I really cannot ever think of being without God as in someone you can always turn back to at the end of the day because as a catholic we belive that as long as you truly say sorry at the end God will love you. For me, I am orthodox, The way I think about God is that he loves me so much (irrelevant to what I actually do) ,wants me to communicate with me (and always waiting for me to start), he would always be there for me So I never thought of searching for proof, because the bible is there for me.
