Sexism in manga + anime
OK, I just wanna hear you guys’ opinion on this.
I’m not trying to lambaste manga or anime, but I feel like feminism is non-existent in some manga and anime. Sure, there are female characters that are empowered by maybe beating some up guy or acting like a man, but I feel like creators think that just because a girl does a stereotypical “guy-thing“, it means that they’re “empowered”?! I feel like they also forget that feminism isn’t just female empowerment, it’s also toxic masculinity, which is also very present in it (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Like—name one good manga or anime where the girl doesn’t flash her undergarments or is accidentally groped. Females are hardcore sexually objectified in anime and manga, and I’m kinda sick of it because I enjoy watching and reading it.

yesssssiir you are 100% correct. Anime and manga as a whole is mainly geared towards males, you gotta look in a tiny corners and peak in various nooks and crannies to find something which doesnt sexualize its females characters. Its very, very difficult to do so. Which is why I have a rule of just watching anime which doesn't have romance. Sounds l......
