How do you tell if an action manhwa is written by a male or a female
while I never really cared about the gender of the author of the story I'm reading, I can't help but notice the differences in how male and female authors tend to approach character dynamics and storytelling, particularly in how they portray side characters and relationships. here's what I've noticed:
male authors tend to hint at romantic interest whether in the beginning or later in the story; strong male characters are either an enemy or rival for the protagonist; protagonist can have strong comrades but never stronger than him; comedy between the main character and his main sidekick is topnotch (they tend to bicker all the time, but together they strong af)
female authors on the other hand if their main character isn't at all interested in romance, they'd be dense af; main character is surrounded by strong characters who want to protect him regardless of age or gender; if a ridiculously strong side character with remarkable character description/appearance appears, they'll be a part of the main character's gang; and uhm the queerbaiting?
that being said, I like both styles. as long as it doesn't trivialize sensitive topics, I enjoy them— although I still can't handle romance subplots in this genre. plus, I haven't read that much action manhwas, these are just observations from a couple of which I've read so far. so basically, this is just me yapping, 'cuz I just can't help but notice the pattern. (and I just saw the mc dance with a strong handsome male side character who screams 'boyfriend' (he's the one with chain skill) in my bl encyclopedia during a battle, yk).
You can tell by their women. If their women charcs are all body hour glass and only trait is being in love with the mc and being saved then that is written by a man.

I honestly kind of agree except with one thing.
If the MC is not interested in romance, they will be dense. This has nothing to do with if it's written by author or not. This has to do with the genre itself, action has the tendency to do that kind of stuff.
But in the end, I think, honestly, unless you drag out actual numbers for this, there's no......
