how would you feel if someone you were dating asked you to get an STD test before having intercourse

I do this with all my partners, I only sleep with those I date. We get full testing, HIV and STD tests - I also get started on birth control and we get condoms for him - we also get on prep for extra precaution. This should be standard, for everyone! Literally just a logical approach!! I've never had intercourse so ofc I am inexperienced on how people go on with it, but this is something I constantly think about. This is definitely something I would do tbh and I won't feel uncomfortable if a partner asked me to get these tests done.   reply

everyone i've previously dated always requested for a new test to be done together. together, no kidding, even last week's test will not suffice lmao. if they didn't ask i would have requested it myself instead. and they will ask one every year lol. don't forget to do your yearly checkup even if you're in a committed relationship. it's those ones t......   reply

Everybody should do that! Literally everybody! There's nothing wrong with asking to protect yourself from things that can potentially make you infertile, give you cancer or HIV. Some linger in the body for years and years and you'd never know without a test. Using protection (condoms) is something you should do but you're not a 100% protected wit......   reply
