I'm happy I fell in love

I was confessed to by one of my first friends. It was a new school and I didn't know anyone but she was the first person that I could really talk to. She was talking to her friend about Black Butler and I just couldn't help but join in. I got a lot closer to her that summer and we stayed up late in the night after talking all day. We talked to each other every day of summer. We stayed friends for a year until my group of friends decided to get a lot of things off of our chest. We found out that a few of us were gay (including me) and the girl ended up telling me that she liked me but wasn't expecting an answer. At first, I wasn't really sure how I felt but realized that I should at least give her a chance. She and I just clicked after that. We weren't too comfortable with touch but it still worked out. We've been together two years now and I'm so glad I decided to say yes. I love her and it's made me a better person because of it.
