How do you deal with the hatred for yourself?

It gets better sweetheart. I don't know if you're a teenager or not, but if you are - give yourself some grace. It's hard being a teenager. It really is. It's confusing, uncomfortable and hard. But you slowly learn to walk on that road too. And you will walk on harsher roads. It's a long process, but do your best and you'll find your way.   1 reply

It gets better if you put in effort for it to get better, either by changing yourself or your circumstances or your thoughts/mindset. You can let time do its thing but there's nothing time can do for you if you also dont help yourself. Its also a gamble, cuz yes the hatred might fade on its own just with time alone, but chances are it wont. You can......   1 reply

I try to forget about it. Spending time away from my parents helps keep my mind off of it. But then my mom tells me she will never accept me and that I will go to hell if I dont live my life the way she says I should. I dont deal with it, theres nothing I can do at this point. I know theres nothing wrong with me, but I cant help hating myself   1 reply

Why hate yourself? Thats just a waste of energy. I rather focus on different efforts then 'Oh, I hate myself.' At the end of the day, hating myself does nothing. Do something that that hatred. - Styx   reply

It's helped me to remember that there are terrible people out there, who think they're great. So it's not fair to hate yourself over comparably small things LOL (also many of those really terrible people profit off of insecurities) Also don't hate yourself for something that can't be changed. Like your appearance or sexuality etc.   2 reply
