Honestly, I get it, and I sympathize with the authors, and yeah, it's unfair to them. But remember, the world is unfair to you too. The information is gatekept from you, entertainment is kept away from you because you are in an unfortunate place where you can't pay for it. "But if you don't have money, don't consume it"—are the people who have money the only ones allowed to enjoy life? If we are not allowed to travel, read books, watch movies, etc., why are we here?
You are not a bad person for consuming pirated content, and you are not a good person for it either. It's an unfortunate situation that doesn't have a solution.
I don’t feel bad at all for not reading legally, since I don’t support misogyny or racism that those legal sites protect.
