tbh i never understood the hype for this trope "omg i hope he GROVELS and BEGS for her forgiveness before the fl takes him back" how is this a W for the fl when she gets back together w/ her abuser who gave her lifetime's worth of trauma? i much prefer stories where the fl moves on and has a hot girl summer and stays single or finds another man who treats her right

i only like that thing when the ml was only abit of an asshole like gave them attitude but didnt give them lifetime trauma. But the satisfying part is begging for forgivness but i hate the forgiving part would be fine if again ML wasnt that big of an asshole towards them but if the ML was a real piece of shit one??? then damn reply
