I told an old friend to kts and they actually did it

As the title suggests, the friend I told to end their life actually went through with it. I’m overwhelmed with shame and guilt. They didn’t deserve to die, but they believed they did—because of my words. I had no idea they valued and trusted what I said so deeply. I feel like a terrible person for saying something so cruel, never thinking they’d take it seriously.
