This was my exact question when I got nightmares that feels real. Someone killed me and peel off my skin like I can feel the blade penetrated my skin and and hurts like hell. But my sister told me that it was just created by our brain, and we know the feeling because we experience something related to that, for example cutting yourself unexpectedly......
