Yaoi has made me more aware and accepting towards the LGBTQ+ community. Ik yaoi does fetishize gay men but that doesn't necessarily mean I have these expectations for real life couples. My first 'yaoi' was Killing Stalking. Not a good one to start with but, it didn't scare me away or make me homophobic. It was my first introduction to same sex couples really.
