Manga or manhwa

I've read manga my whole life and I'm getting real tired of the tiny, condensed dialogue that has me squinting to read. I also don't have the patience to sit through anime for the better art and color, so I'll take my manhwa any day. everything is recycled anyways, might as well enjoy it in colors. plus the Japanese and their obsession with incest ......   reply

i love both for different reasons. and the underdog manhua lmfao but yeah i'll talk abt them in relation to bl and gl. manga: typically short and sweet, formatted in pages, can be super creative with panelling. manhwa: long, coloured, scroll format and usually has a shit ton of smut lol. the art in both manhwa and manga are typically beautiful, but......   1 reply

art- manga arent creatively constrained to the scroll format like manhwa are. you can have extremely creative paneling in manga. the art itself also tends to be more diverse and stylistic and has more opportunity for crazy detail and compelling and breathtaking art. plot- there are tropes in both manga and manhwa, but the best stories are found in ......   1 reply

plot and artstyle wise id say manga but i read more manhwa than manga simply just because it's not so small like the panels also the b&w colors arent helping (i have poor eyesight and even tho i can zoom i still squint my eyes) i kid you not my head starts aching and i get like dizzy sometimes   reply

I read more manhwas these days bc I’m brainrotted (not saying all manhwas are brainrot btw its just a lot of them fall into the Instant satisfaction, barely a plot category) but I would pick manga. I find that there is more variety in style and the plot is generally better. Also I find that a lot of mangas are more willing to let their characters......   reply
