I adore Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It has some of my favourite designs and the animation is top notch.
Also, not exactly a favourite, but I recommend Belladonna of Sadness to anyone who's into the horror genre. A psychedelic arthouse trip. It's very similar to a lot of western gothic stuff and the visuals are ethereal.
