I did, in my hs years. They're close friends and even the whole class are jokingly shipping them when moments come. But on our last year of hs they became so distant to each other suddenly and never talked again til this day, leaving the whole class really confused and somehow sad because dude they're great friends! I recently found out that one of them caught feelings (thought they were both straight) and now we have the current situation-- he chose to stop being friends with him.

Shipping male friends is okay, for me. As long as you're not hurting or making them uncomfortable to each other. You know the difference of fantasy and reality and you shouldn't EVER overstep your boundaries.
